15th Annual Latin Grammy Music Awards

Like its American counterpart, the Latin Grammy Awards is a prestigious award-giving body that recognizes artistic and technical brilliance in the field of recording arts and sciences in the Latin community.

Now in its 15^th year, the Latin Grammy Awards first debuted in the 2000. Among the first recipients of the awards includes Corazon Espinado for Record of the Year, Luis Miguel’s Amarte Es Un Placer for Album of the Year, Shakira for Female Pop Vocal Performance, and Ibrahim Ferrer for Best New Artist.
